19 November 2025, I visited the iconic Ekeberghallen in Oslo, the most central arena in the Scandinavian futsal movement IFS. This is where goosebumps repeatedly reached incomprehensible levels during the 2000s, triggered by the movement’s soundscape. In total, tens of thousands of players participated within the IFS system.
At its peak, around 300 teams were registered for a single tournament in Oslo Indoor. Three pitches. A fantastic sound system. And an enormous volume when the atmosphere was at its most intense back then. In the historical IFS document, I recount a special experience from the tournament desk during the very first Oslo Indoor tournament in 2002. It was a delight to be back!
