September 19, 2026 | The Same Date of Death
A couple of weeks ago I made a discovery that left a considerable impression. I discovered that my father and Murray N. Rothbard died on the same day in 1995 – January 7. When I published The 22 Assertions earlier this year, I noted my father’s date of death in the fourth assertion. In the sixth, I wrote about Rothbard as the most significant intellectual influence in my life. I did not know then about their shared date of death. To me, this is an extraordinary discovery. The two most important men in my life died on the very same day. They did not share a birthday. They died on the very same day. I do not know what to make of it, but it surely was an occasion.
September 18, 2026 | The Samsonite Bag

From 2024 to 2026, I built the foundational Maksima corpus. I slept around four hours a night throughout this entire period. Almost every day, I was out the door before 6 a.m. I worked in public places such as libraries and restaurants, primarily in Norway (Bergen mainly, and Oslo), but also briefly in England, Sweden, and Spain. And every day, I carried all the tools I needed in this Samsonite bag. It is the symbol of the dedication behind the construction of a new ideology, a new doctrine, a new ism – and an emerging religion with all its components.
PS: There are many exciting (and perhaps amusing) ways to analyse the Maksima corpus. This is one.
